Kawai Poké brings the flavors, culture and hospitality of Hawaii to Nashville. Pronounced “pohkay” - the dish features bite-sized cubes of fresh marinated seafood, served over a bed of rice or mixed greens and topped with an assortment of fresh vegetables, pickled condiments and flavorful sauces.
Hailing from the renowned culinary culture of Chicago, Yev Mikhailov has spent most of his life in the food business. For over 10 years, Mikhailov helmed Gurman Food Co. – an Eastern European sausage and salami company. Established in 2003, Gurman built a distinctive reputation for providing customers nationwide with unique products, bold flavors and excellent service.
Mikhailov now moves from land to sea to establish Nashville's first Hawaiian poké concept. Featuring hand-crafted poké dishes, tropical breakfast bowls, and traditional Hawaiian favorites, Kawai Poké Co. will bring Nashville an undeniabley unique experience in healthy, cultural cuisine.
